Quartz Coating Demo Panels: Label the Complete Layer Stack

A demonstration panel should identify every applied product so observers know what they are seeing. An unlabeled finish can incorrectly attribute a result to its base coat.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Practical approach

Record substrate, preparation, base, top coat, maintenance products and application dates. Keep this record with the panel during demonstrations.

If water beads on a top-coated QUARTZ99 panel, the demonstration should not describe that observation as the untreated base's water behaviour.

Decision limits

Do not compare a freshly maintained panel with an unmaintained one without explaining the difference. Demonstrations need a fair, visible scope.
