Coating Filling Runs: Inspect the First Units After a Stoppage

Restart conditions can differ from steady production because material and equipment have remained idle. The first accepted units should confirm that the process is still controlled.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Practical approach

Record the reason and duration of the stop. Follow the approved restart procedure and check fill, closure and product appearance before returning to normal sampling.

A lunch break and a short label change create different interruptions. Recording both simply as downtime loses potentially useful context.

Decision limits

Do not assume that previously accepted settings make every restart acceptable. Escalate unexplained changes rather than quietly discarding evidence of them.
