Applying Ceramic Coating Around Decals and Graphics

Decals and graphics introduce additional materials and edges to a coating job. A printed image, a laminated graphic and a solid-colour film may have different care requirements. Treat their identity and condition as part of the preparation assessment.
Establish what can be treated
Ask about the graphic material, installation date and any care instructions. Inspect for loose edges, cracking and previous chemical damage. Do not coat over failing material as an attempted repair.
Confirm compatibility with the exact NANOLAB product and the graphic surface. Where information is missing, exclude the area temporarily or arrange an approved test rather than assuming suitability from a similar-looking wrap.
Manage boundaries carefully
Keep polish and preparation residue from accumulating at edges. Avoid aggressive rubbing or directing pressure into a lifting boundary. During application, use controlled spreading and removal so excess coating does not collect along the graphic.
Check whether the selected product changes gloss or colour saturation. That change may be unwelcome even if the surrounding paint benefits from stronger reflections.
Record the treatment for future care
Identify coated and excluded graphic areas at handover. Provide washing instructions appropriate to the combination of paint and decorative material, including any installation-related restrictions still in effect.
