Plan the route before applying
Divide the vehicle into recognisable areas such as roof sections, doors and bumper zones. Use boundaries you can track without touching wet product. Account for complex curves, vents, badges and the extra time needed to inspect them.
Section size should match the coating’s working method and your ability to level it properly. A whole-vehicle approach suitable for a particular MATRIX workflow should not be transferred to a product requiring small sections.
Keep coverage visible in the process
Apply systematically using the product’s stated method. Track completed areas on a separate job sheet rather than relying on memory or touching the finish. Check overlaps and panel edges where material may accumulate.
When several people work on the vehicle, assign clear responsibility for application, levelling and inspection. Avoid a situation where each person assumes someone else finished the same area.
Reinspect transitions
Look at joins between sections under suitable light. Confirm that the entire intended surface received the correct process without leaving heavy boundaries. If work is interrupted, record the stopping point and inspect before resuming. A clear route helps make the application repeatable and reduces the need to revisit partially cured material because a section was forgotten.
