Assess the starting condition

Record the sunscreen product and affected sections. Inspect armrests and seat bolsters after they dry. Cosmetic marks and altered surface feel may reflect residue rather than material damage.

A practical working method

  1. Remove excess residue carefully with suitable clean tools.
  2. Trial compatible cleaning locally.
  3. Remove cleaner residue and allow the specified drying.
  4. Inspect colour and feel before considering renewed protection.

Common mistake

An improvised solvent can affect the outer finish while removing sunscreen. Adding another coating over an oily film complicates the surface history.

What a useful result looks like

The useful endpoint is a clean accepted surface and an achievable routine for contact areas. Send product details and photographs for support if marks persist rather than escalating immediately to abrasive treatment.
