A second-row bench has several use patterns within one surface. Prepare and inspect the whole agreed scope, including seams and high-contact sections.

Assess the starting condition

Identify material differences, repairs and installed accessories. Follow vehicle and accessory instructions before moving or removing equipment. A clean centre section may not represent the outer seating position.

A practical working method

  1. Remove loose debris with suitable tools.
  2. Use the approved cleaner and inspect the dry finish.
  3. Test the coating on confirmed compatible upholstery.
  4. Record treated sections and the specified release point.

Common mistake

Rushing inaccessible sections can leave residue or untreated boundaries. Do not coat restraint equipment or accessories merely because they sit beside the seat.

What a useful result looks like

A useful handover identifies the actual upholstery treated and any exclusions. Give care instructions for normal contact and spills, keeping accessory and restraint maintenance under their own manufacturer requirements.
