A full polishing range.
From cutting and one-step correction to final finishing.
Control pad condition when testing compounds so a fresh-versus-loaded comparison is not mistaken for a difference between polishing liquids.

A product comparison can be misleading when one liquid receives a new pad and the other a used, loaded or differently cleaned pad. Pad condition is a test variable. Record and control it if the result is intended to guide purchasing or technique.
Identify the pad model, previous use and cleaning method. Two pads of the same colour are not necessarily the same product, and two washed pads may have different service histories.
For a high-value comparison, start with known serviceable pads and prepare them according to each system’s instructions. Do not compare one dry unprepared face with another that has already reached a stable working condition.
The first section may not represent the entire job. Record what happens after the specified cleaning and reloading routine over several relevant sections.
If one system needs more frequent pad changes to maintain its result, that is useful workflow information. It should be measured explicitly rather than hidden inside an inconsistent comparison.
Use equivalent defects and the same inspection condition. A new pad on easy original paint and a used pad on a difficult repair cannot establish which liquid is more effective.
Include the final finish and refinement required, not just first-stage defect reduction.
State whether you compared complete systems or liquids on a common approved pad. Describe pad condition and maintenance alongside the result.
Avoid declaring a universal winner from a single panel. A bounded conclusion about a documented process is more useful and easier to repeat.
This discipline also helps diagnose workshop complaints. Before concluding that a familiar compound has changed, compare it with a known serviceable pad and the established method. Consumable history can explain an apparent chemistry problem without any change to the liquid itself.
