Ceramic Coating and Valet Parking: A Useful Handover

Communicate essential coating care restrictions when a vehicle is left with a valet, hotel or parking service.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

When a ceramic-coated vehicle is left with a valet or hotel service, the most useful handover is brief and specific. Staff need to know whether the car has current curing restrictions and whether washing or cosmetic treatment is authorised.

Explain the present condition

If the coating is fresh, provide the relevant release and exposure instructions from the installer. Do not assume the parking service has a suitable covered curing location. Confirm arrangements before leaving the vehicle if those conditions are required.

For an established coating, explain any sensitive surfaces or recent local repairs. Avoid vague claims that the car must never get wet; communicate the actual product-specific restriction and its duration instead.

Be clear about optional cleaning

State whether washing is included or permitted and which method has been agreed. Ask that unexpected stains or contamination be reported before staff use an unknown cleaner. A well-intended dry wipe can create a different problem from the deposit it was meant to remove.

Keep suitable contact details with the handover record. Photograph the vehicle’s condition where appropriate, including existing marks, so any later concern can be assessed against a clear starting point.

Inspect on collection

Check for fresh deposits, streaks or handling marks before cleaning. If a concern appears, ask what service or product was used and record the answer. Do not diagnose coating failure solely from a different water pattern after an unfamiliar wash additive.

Refer to NANOLAB’s product documentation for specific care requirements. A concise handover works because it gives the parking service actionable information: where the vehicle may stay, what cleaning is agreed and when to contact the owner before improvising.
