Assess the starting condition

Identify exterior panels separately from waste-contact interiors. Record existing corrosion, scratches and cleaning products before a pilot. A cosmetic coating is not automatically suitable for every interior exposure.

A practical working method

  1. Trial a representative exterior panel.
  2. Keep preparation and application away from equipment openings.
  3. Monitor normal cleaning and local spill zones.
  4. Inspect dry condition before expanding treatment.

Common mistake

Treating a clean upper edge as representative of a heavily exposed lower panel can give a misleading result. Protection also does not replace timely spill cleanup.

What a useful result looks like

A useful pilot establishes realistic appearance and cleaning expectations. Retain the products used and incident history, and select a specifically verified system for areas outside the decorative coating’s confirmed scope.
