Using Microfiber Cloths on Coated Shower Glass

A clean, suitable cloth helps remove residue without transferring contamination from other bathroom tasks. Its previous use matters, particularly if it has carried polish, abrasive cleaner or greasy film.

Keep a dedicated glass set

Separate cloths for washing and final drying, and keep them away from toilet, floor and metal-polishing tasks. Use a simple label or colour system. Check the glass and coating instructions for permitted tools rather than assuming every microfiber product is suitable.

Change surfaces as residue builds

Fold or reposition the cloth to use a clean section, and replace it when loaded. Do not repeatedly wipe an oily film with the same saturated area. Remove any cloth dropped on a dirty floor from the task until it has been properly cleaned.

Maintain the cloths

Wash and dry them according to their manufacturer’s instructions. Keep clean cloths in a protected place and retire those with rough or hardened areas.
