Restart coated-shower maintenance after a long vacancy by documenting the condition, checking the enclosure and using a staged cleaning assessment.

A holiday home’s shower may sit unused for months with old deposits, cleaner residue or unfamiliar maintenance history. Restarting care is a different task from a routine daily wipe. Begin with a condition review rather than an automatic recoating appointment.
Find the coating identity, installation record and available care instructions. Note whether someone cleaned the property during the vacancy and which products were used. Inspect the glass dry and document existing marks before adding water.
Have leaks, damaged seals and uncertain drainage assessed by the responsible service provider. Water-system hygiene and building maintenance are separate matters from the glass coating and should follow the property’s appropriate procedures.
Residue and prolonged storage conditions can complicate a beading demonstration. Compare visible cleanliness, maintenance response and the documented care history. A changed water pattern does not automatically identify coating loss.
Leave a concise product and cleaning record with the property manager. Include contact details for technical questions and the accepted condition at handover. Use the product’s actual storage and service guidance rather than inventing a universal renewal interval.
The successful restart is a clean, inspectable surface with a workable routine. It may require ordinary cleaning, specialist restoration or coating renewal, but that decision should follow the assessment rather than precede it.
Ask NANOLAB about your surface and intended use. For application and care, use the current instructions for the exact product.
