A holiday property can alternate between intensive use and long quiet periods. Its coating-care plan should consider both guest turnover and what happens while the home is unoccupied.

Define the cleaning routine

Identify who cleans after each stay and which products are used. Keep the instructions consistent across contractors. For shower glass and stainless finishes, record the exact coating rather than giving a generic instruction to “use a nano-safe cleaner.”

Inspect before leaving it closed

Clean and dry surfaces as instructed, noting any persistent deposits or changes in appearance. Address maintenance issues such as leaks through the appropriate trade. A coating is not a solution for plumbing faults or a substitute for the building’s ventilation and moisture-management arrangements.

Check before guests return

Review the dry finish and high-contact areas before the next stay. Keep photographs of recurring marks and record any change in cleaning products. If local service is needed, schedule enough time for preparation and curing before occupancy. This avoids rushing treatment immediately before guests are expected to use the room.
