A Simple Maintenance Log for Coated Home Surfaces

You do not need a complicated system to track a coated surface. A short note when products or conditions change can be enough to make a later support enquiry much more useful.

Start with the baseline

Save the installation date, product identity and a photograph of the clean, dry finish. Note any known defects and the normal cleaner. For a multi-room project, keep separate entries for different materials rather than describing the entire home as one coating system.

Record meaningful changes

Add unusual spills, persistent marks, new cleaning products and any polishing or repair. Include what was observed before and after the approved cleaning step. Describe the finding without assuming the cause: for example, “a streak remained after rinsing” is more useful than an unsupported diagnosis of coating failure.

Use the record to improve care

Review recurring locations and adjust the routine with the installer when appropriate. If several people clean the space, share one approved method so changes remain traceable. Keep local repairs and renewals in the same record. The aim is practical continuity, not paperwork for every ordinary wipe.
