Streaks After Panel Prep: What to Check Before Coating
Investigate preparation streaks by checking product amount, towel condition, surface temperature and remaining residue before application.

Visible streaks after panel preparation deserve attention before coating begins. They can reflect residue, an unsuitable process or material being redistributed by the towel. Adding coating over them makes later diagnosis more difficult.
Review the preparation conditions
Confirm that the product is suitable for the surface and intended NANOLAB system. Check its application amount and removal instructions. Work within the specified conditions and avoid a hot panel where the process becomes difficult to control.
Review what came before the wipe: polish, drying aids or other treatments may still be present if earlier cleaning was incomplete.
Inspect the towel and technique
Use a clean suitable towel and replace it when loaded. A towel with detergent residue, previous product or contamination can spread material rather than remove it. Avoid repeatedly scrubbing sensitive paint with the same face.
Allow the preparation stage to finish as instructed, then inspect under another light angle. A wet film and a persistent dry streak are different observations.
Stop if the surface response is unexpected
Do not increase solvent strength by improvisation or apply more coating to hide the mark. Reassess compatibility and seek guidance if appearance changes persist. On matte finishes or film, an aggressive correction may alter the material permanently.
Use preparation towel checks and panel preparation fundamentals. Proceed only when the cleaned finish and preparation method are accepted for the selected coating.
