A Clear Handover After Marine Coating

A coating handover should help the owner care for the boat immediately and answer questions months later. It should describe the completed work in terms that the next person washing the vessel can use.

Show what was treated

Walk through the vessel with the surface map and identify exclusions, existing defects and repaired areas. Review the finish under suitable lighting. Record the product and completion date, and keep photographs of representative surfaces rather than relying only on a single overall image.

Explain the first-use instructions

Separate restrictions for touching, water exposure, washing and return to service. Provide the current written instructions for the installed product. Confirm who is responsible for protecting the vessel until those requirements are met. Avoid leaving the owner to infer the schedule from when application ended.

Make routine care easy to follow

Name the approved cleaner and tool types, and explain how to report a persistent mark or change in appearance. Encourage photographs of a clean, dry surface plus a wider location view. Keep the installer contact with the maintenance log so later questions reach someone who knows the original project.
