A boat coating project begins with the surfaces, exposure and maintenance routine of the vessel. NANOLAB MARINE is a ceramic coating for boats and yachts; choosing the right scope matters as much as choosing the product.
Walk around the boat and separate gelcoat, painted panels, glazing, metal fittings and flexible materials. Record previous treatments and any areas that already look faded, cracked or stained. A surface list helps the installer confirm compatibility instead of treating an entire boat as one uniform material. Include photographs of details that are difficult to describe.
Discuss appearance and easier routine care using the boat’s actual condition as the starting point. Preparation may improve the finish before coating, but coating is not a repair for damaged gelcoat or failing paint. Ask for a small demonstration on a representative area and inspect it after the surface is clean and dry. Judge the finish as well as the water behaviour.
Arrange the work around a period when the boat can remain protected for the specified cure. Give whoever washes the vessel the care instructions and a list of treated areas. Continue removing salt and dirt using compatible methods, and review changes against the original photographs. A documented handover makes later maintenance more consistent.
