Include Shower Glass Coating in a Renovation Handover

Coordinate installation residue, existing treatments and documentation before final client handover.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Adding shower-glass coating to a renovation handover should be coordinated with the glazing and finishing work. The enclosure must be assessed in its actual completed condition. Treating it too early in the project can leave important surface-history or readiness questions unresolved.

Identify preceding work

Obtain glass and treatment information from the supplier or installer. Record known installation residue and adjacent materials. Confirm which contractor is responsible for preparation or condition assessment. Do not assume that physically installed glass is automatically ready for the selected coating.

Agree the treatment sequence

Review the product's current instructions and site constraints. Identify activities after treatment that may require access or affect the enclosure. For example, a final cleaning contractor should receive the relevant care information rather than work from an unrelated standard bathroom routine.

Include the coating in the final records

Provide the client with product identity, treated areas, relevant dates and current care guidance. Keep any exclusions or unresolved observations visible. Clarify who answers later questions about glazing, hardware and the coating so the owner is not passed between contractors. A complete renovation handover gives the client a coherent account of the finished enclosure and its care, rather than adding a coating certificate without the practical information needed to maintain the actual installation.

Add coating information to the renovation handover

Include the enclosure identity, glass supplier information, coating product, treatment date, current care guidance and the person responsible for support. Keep this information separate from the installer records for seals, hinges and other components.

If the glass was treated before other renovation work finished, inspect and record any intervening activity before final acceptance. Do not assume the original application record describes the final condition after every contractor has left. Give the owner a concise index showing where the coating and enclosure information can be found. This connects the protective treatment to the completed renovation without implying that it replaces the maintenance or warranty requirements of the glass and hardware suppliers.
