Coating Viscosity Checks: Avoid Air Bubbles in the Test Specimen

Entrained air can interfere with a test specimen's suitability. Sample preparation should follow the instrument and product method.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Practical approach

Inspect the sample and use the approved preparation procedure without adding unapproved chemicals or changing the formulation.

Vigorous improvised shaking immediately before testing may create a different specimen from the one required by the method.

Decision limits

Do not treat a questionable reading as a product specification result until specimen preparation is resolved.
