Inspect cloths for grit, product residues and wear. A cloth previously used on grout, metal or oily surfaces may carry contamination even when it looks clean. Keep the coating’s care instructions available.
A practical working method
- Assign a dedicated glass cloth set and label its role.
- Use clean faces and the approved cleaner.
- Launder according to microfiber and product instructions, considering residues from other tasks.
- Replace cloths that leave unexplained smears or contain persistent contamination.
Common mistake
Switching from one colour to another without checking the cloth’s history is cosmetic organisation, not contamination control. Heavy rubbing with a loaded cloth can spread the original problem.
What a useful result looks like
