Ceramic Coating Packaging: Separate Cosmetic Defects from Functional Defects

Packaging defects need categories that reflect their consequences. A scuffed carton and a leaking closure should not receive the same release decision merely because both are visible defects.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Practical approach

Define examples of cosmetic, identity, dispensing and containment issues. Agree who can accept each category and what evidence is required.

A small print blemish may leave all required information readable, while a missing batch code prevents traceability even on an otherwise perfect bottle.

Decision limits

Avoid universal acceptance rules based only on defect size. Consider the information or function affected and the requirements of the specific product and market.
