Removing Bugs from PPF After a Journey
Remove insect residue from PPF with compatible cleaning, controlled dwell and gentle contact while protecting film edges and finish.

Insect residue on PPF should be dealt with promptly, but aggressive rubbing can create another problem. Film finish, top-layer chemistry and any coating all matter when selecting a cleaning method.
Work on a cool surface
Allow the vehicle to cool and choose suitable shade. Rinse away loose material before contact. Use a cleaning product confirmed suitable for the film and any installed NANOLAB coating, following its dilution and dwell instructions.
Keep the cleaner from drying. Do not assume that a product safe on painted metal is automatically suitable for every film or matte finish.
Soften before wiping
Give the approved process time to loosen residue, then use clean soft wash media with minimal necessary contact. Rinse and inspect. Avoid scraping with a fingernail, hard card or abrasive pad.
Around seams, control water direction and avoid working underneath an edge. If a mark remains after appropriate cleaning, stop and distinguish remaining residue from staining or damage with the installer.
Adjust the routine for repeated journeys
Inspect high-impact areas after trips and plan a proper wash when possible. A small travel kit can help with early cleaning, but only when enough suitable liquid and clean towels are available to avoid grinding road grit into the film.
Use PPF edge washing and the PPF road-trip kit. A compatible coating can support maintenance, but neither film nor coating makes dried contamination harmless indefinitely.
