Interior lacquer is not interchangeable with exterior gelcoat. Appearance, touch and material compatibility need separate evaluation.

Practical approach
Identify the furniture or panel finish and obtain the relevant manufacturer's approval for the proposed product and preparation.
A high-gloss cabin table may have a different coating system from the boat's exterior painted surfaces.
Decision limits
Do not apply an exterior product indoors merely because both surfaces are glossy.
