Transfer a hotel shower coating programme to a new cleaning contractor with product, room and acceptance records that staff can use.
Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

A change of cleaning contractor can alter chemicals, cloths, dilution and inspection standards overnight. A structured handover protects the continuity of a shower glass coating programme and prevents a new routine from being introduced without checking compatibility.
Provide the room treatment register, coating identity, current care instructions and known exceptions. Identify replaced panes and rooms with unresolved defects. The contractor needs the actual surfaces and products in use, not a generic statement that the property has nano-coated glass.
| Handover item | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Cleaner | Exact product and approved working dilution |
| Tools | Suitable cloths, drying tools and separation rules |
| Method | Order of work, rinse and dry inspection |
| Acceptance | What a completed room should look like |
A new contractor may prefer a different cleaner or use a central dosing system. Confirm compatibility and actual delivered concentration before changing the programme. A similar product name or pH description is not enough to establish equivalence.
Select representative rooms and have the incoming team perform the complete task. Review the dry finish with the hotel supervisor and record questions. Include a room with a known difficult location so training covers real work rather than only the cleanest sample.
For example, if the new team uses the same cloth on fixtures and glass, residue transfer may change the result even when the cleaner is unchanged. The handover should address the process as well as the product list.
Compare the first period of work with the accepted baseline. Track rework, room complaints and product substitutions. A rise in marks should trigger a review of the changed routine before a conclusion about coating durability.
Keep the escalation route clear: cleaners report the observation, supervisors check the method, and technical questions go to the responsible supplier or installer. This preserves useful evidence and prevents well-intended but uncontrolled treatment changes.
Discuss a shower-glass coating project. For application and care, use the current instructions for the exact product.
