Wet towels returning from a mobile detailing job need a planned route to inspection and laundering.

Wet towels returning from a mobile detailing job need a planned route to inspection and laundering. Mixing them with clean stock inside a kit bag makes it harder to know what is ready for use. Separate transport, storage and laundry decisions instead of treating the end of the job as the end of towel care.
Place used towels in clearly identified containers appropriate for their product residues. Keep paint towels apart from wheel, engine-bay and other dirty utility cloths. Follow product handling and disposal instructions for towels carrying coating, solvent or other chemical residue; ordinary laundry is not automatically the correct route.
Keep unused clean towels protected in a separate compartment. A towel that touched a wet bottle or dirty glove may still have left the clean-stock category. Avoid packing it back with finishing towels simply because it was not used on the vehicle.
Secure containers for transport without leaking onto equipment or upholstery. Do not leave the contents unidentified for the next operator to sort by smell or appearance. Label any items needing a special handling decision.
At the workshop, process used items promptly according to their care instructions. Inspect for embedded debris, hardened residue and damage before deciding whether laundering and reuse are appropriate. Dry reusable towels fully before returning them to clean storage.
Check and clean the transport containers too. A freshly washed towel can be recontaminated by the bag that carried dirty cloths yesterday. Keep a return checklist with the mobile kit: used items removed, containers cleaned, clean stock replenished and exceptions recorded. This prevents the next appointment from beginning with an uncertain towel supply.
