A full polishing range.
From cutting and one-step correction to final finishing.
A flat sample can miss the appearance of a formed or exposed edge. If edges are visible in the finished installation, include a representative edge in the coating mock-up and acceptance discussion.

Edges may have a different finishing history or geometry from the main face. They can also be harder to access consistently during preparation and application. The goal is not to assume that every edge needs the same treatment, but to decide what is included and how the completed assembly should be inspected.
Illustrative example: a large decorative panel is approved using a flat offcut, but its visible folded return has a different finish. The offcut did not answer the edge-appearance question. A representative formed sample would have made that limitation clear before the project was scaled.
Do not coat mating faces, fasteners or functional interfaces simply to make coverage appear complete. Confirm the actual assembly requirements. Appearance approval on a sample should state which surfaces and geometries it represents rather than implying blanket approval for every component detail.
