Choosing NANOLAB Coatings for Glossy and Matte PPF
Compare finish requirements and product roles when protecting PPF, with careful attention to MATRIX PRO's glossy-only restriction.

Identify the film and appearance goal
Record the particular PPF, its age, condition and finish. Glossy, matte and satin films should not automatically receive the same gloss-enhancing treatment. Inspect edges and defects first; coating will not fix lifted film or trapped contamination.
Check both the film’s requirements and the selected coating’s current compatibility information.
Narrow the NANOLAB options
MATRIX LITE P303 and MATRIX GRAPHENE P503G list matte and glossy compatibility. MATRIX PRO P5012 is restricted to glossy finishes and excludes matte PPF. NANOLAB also has dedicated GLOSS and MATTE product pages that can be reviewed for the particular job.
Do not combine or substitute products merely because their names appear relevant. Read the complete instructions and test a representative discreet area for appearance and levelling.
Preserve the system during care
Use compatible cleaners and controlled pressure washing around edges. Record the film and coating separately so later repairs can be planned properly. If the film is replaced locally, the new area may need its own preparation and coating schedule.
