Levelling Ceramic Coating for a Clear, Even Finish

Remove excess while preserving coverage
Levelling is the controlled removal and redistribution of excess product according to the coating’s instructions. It should leave an even finish without visible residue. The correct moment and technique depend on the formula; immediate wiping is not a universal rule.
Use the specified applicator and suitable clean microfiber towels. Keep an initial removal towel separate from the final inspection towel when the process calls for two stages.
Watch the surface and the towel
Work systematically around edges, creases and curved panels. Change towel faces or replace the towel as residue builds up. A saturated towel can spread material rather than remove it, and increased pressure can create unnecessary contact risk.
Inspect from different angles under suitable light. Look for darker patches, rainbow-like residue or smears that do not match the surrounding panel.
Stop when the method stops working
If a patch no longer responds to the approved levelling process, consult the product’s correction instructions. Rewetting, polishing or recoating are product- and stage-dependent decisions. Do not repeatedly scrub partially cured material. Record any corrected area and check it again before handover. A clean finish comes from timing, fresh tools and inspection working together.
