Create a Product Record for Each Coated Shower Enclosure

Link each enclosure to the installed product and current maintenance instructions.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

A product record for each coated shower enclosure makes future care and enquiries easier. The record should connect the physical enclosure to the installed treatment and relevant instructions. A general note saying all glass coated may be insufficient when products or installation dates differ.

Identify the enclosure

Use a room number, asset reference or clear location description. Record relevant glass information and known existing treatments. Include the treated areas and exclusions, especially where the enclosure contains other materials or different finishes.

Record the installed system

Add exact product identity, application date and the current instruction reference used. Include relevant project or installer contact details. For example, if one enclosure was treated after a later renovation, preserve that separate history rather than assigning it the date of the original property-wide project.

Keep the record useful over time

Update it after glass replacement, further treatment or significant maintenance assessment. Link current care guidance without deleting the historical record of what was originally installed. Make the information accessible to the staff responsible for cleaning and technical enquiries. The goal is a concise, durable reference that allows another person to identify the treatment and ask a well-informed question. It should reduce dependence on memory, scattered invoices or assumptions based on how the water currently behaves on the glass.

Give each enclosure an asset record

Use a room or asset identifier, glass information, coating product, treatment date, instruction revision, treated faces and care contact. Add links to photos and any later repair, replacement or maintenance event.

If one panel is replaced, update that panel's record instead of leaving the enclosure marked uniformly treated. Keep the original history and identify what changed. The record can be a simple table; it does not require complex software to be useful. Its purpose is to let a future cleaner, installer or property manager identify the actual treatment on the actual glass, especially when several visually identical enclosures were installed or treated at different times.
