A Coating Distributor Sample Kit with a Clear Purpose

Assign each sample a buyer decision so the kit does not become an unexplained assortment.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

A distributor sample kit should help a buyer make a decision. An assortment of unexplained bottles can create confusion about product roles and make feedback difficult to interpret. Assign a purpose to every sample before selecting the contents.

Connect each sample to a question

Identify the buyer's surfaces, users and intended offer. Include products that address those requirements, and explain why each is present. Distinguish an alternative product from a component intended to be used within an approved system. Never imply that all samples can be combined simply because they arrived in one box.

Include an evaluation path

Provide exact product identity and access to current instructions. Suggest the observations the buyer should record, such as the approved workflow and appearance on a representative surface. Keep long-term claims separate from what a short sample trial can establish. Explain how technical questions should be submitted.

Follow up on decisions, not impressions alone

For example, a buyer may prefer one product's handling while still needing confirmation for a second surface. Record both findings instead of asking only which bottle was the favourite. A useful follow-up identifies the shortlisted product, the evidence supporting that choice and any unresolved requirement. The kit has done its job when it leads to a clear next step, even if the buyer needs another discussion before placing an order.

Give each bottle an evaluation card

For each sample, include product identity, intended question, confirmed surface scope, instruction reference and the observations to return. Mark whether samples are alternatives or parts of a documented system. Keep these labels legible after the outer packaging is discarded.

A two-product kit might ask a professional to compare handling on an approved glossy finish. It should not imply that either bottle is suitable for matte film unless that use is confirmed. Ask for a decision and supporting notes, not a single star rating. A sample card that returns with the bottle identifier, test conditions and unresolved questions is more useful than enthusiastic feedback that cannot be connected to a specific product.

Discuss your distribution requirements. For supporting information, review the current product documentation and the local distributor information.
