Water Flow and Jet Pressure in a Wash Trial: Record Both Questions

A rinse comparison can be misleading when the amount of water changes together with the jet behaviour. Record the actual wash setup before attributing the result to a coating.

Define the comparison

Decide whether the trial concerns residue removal, rinse time or water consumption. Keep the starting contamination and surface area comparable. A faster rinse does not by itself identify which setup variable produced the difference.

Describe the equipment

Record the machine, hose and nozzle configuration together with the working method. Use equipment instructions for operating limits. A pressure setting alone does not fully describe how water reaches the surface.

Keep the method consistent

Use a repeatable working distance, direction and sequence within the approved care guidance. Note changes rather than silently adjusting the method on the more difficult area. If several variables change, describe the result as a system comparison.

Measure the stated outcome

Record the time, collected or metered water quantity where suitable, and the defined clean endpoint. Compare the result against the stated question. Do not extend a short rinse observation into a long-term coating performance claim.

Frequently asked question

Does a lower pressure setting necessarily mean lower water consumption?

The setting alone does not establish the volume used through the whole wash. Measure the relevant quantity under the actual working method.
