Shower Coating Quotes: State Whether Area Includes One Face or Two

Glass dimensions describe the pane, but a coating quotation concerns treated surfaces. State the face count so that quantities, time and scope can be compared consistently.

Define the measured surface

Record the width and height of each relevant pane, then state which faces are included. A pane area and a treated area are different when both faces are in scope. Keep the unit visible in the calculation.

Show exclusions separately

Identify faces outside the agreed scope and areas blocked by hardware or frames. Do not hide access limitations in a rounded total. Note whether the quote covers preparation of the entire face or only the accessible section.

Keep estimates distinguishable

If measurements come from a drawing or customer estimate, label them as such and confirm them on site. Record changes before product quantities or labour plans are finalised. A revised measurement should not silently change the agreed faces.

Carry the scope into handover

Use the same panel list and face description in the job record and care document. This gives the customer a clear account of the work and helps another installer understand what has already been treated.

Frequently asked question

Can two quotes using the same square-metre total describe different work?

Yes. They may include different faces, preparation steps or access assumptions. Compare the stated surface scope as well as the number.
