Foam-Cannon Output Tests: Measure Consumption Without Guessing Panel Dilution

The mix in a foam-cannon bottle is not automatically the concentration reaching the vehicle. A practical output test should preserve that distinction.

Document the hardware

Record the pressure washer, nozzle, cannon setting and bottle mixture. Changes in water supply or equipment can affect the output. Use the cleaner and equipment instructions; do not transfer another operator’s bottle recipe without checking the actual system.

Measure a defined run

On a suitable test setup, record bottle contents before and after a timed run and the relevant water-flow information if it can be measured reliably. Repeat under the same settings. Avoid collecting a hazardous spray or improvising restrictions to force a preferred ratio.

Use the observation correctly

The test can show consumption and consistency under those settings. It does not establish cleaning effectiveness, surface compatibility or exact in-use chemistry without a supported method. Evaluate the recommended dilution process and a representative cleaning task separately.

Frequently asked question

Can thick foam prove the correct cleaner concentration?

No. Foam appearance is not a reliable substitute for the product’s dilution guidance and an understood dispensing setup.
