A full polishing range.
From cutting and one-step correction to final finishing.
Choose wool pads specifically approved for your DA system and compare construction, handling and the finishing stage needed after correction.

Wool is used in different polishing pad designs. Some are intended for rotary machines; others are engineered for dual-action systems. Attaching a wool pad to a DA does not prove that the combination is supported or properly balanced.
Check machine movement, backing plate, pad diameter and any operating limits. Look at the complete construction, including the interface between the fibre face and attachment.
Do not infer compatibility from a similar appearance or a seller’s generic wool label. If documentation is unclear, obtain a specific answer before use.
Use an appropriate test area with the approved compound. Observe whether the pad remains stable and the working face contacts the intended area predictably.
On contours, do not force the same setup to work beyond its useful access. Tool body and backing-plate clearance matter as well as the visible fibres.
After compatible residue removal, record how the target defects changed and what fine marks remain. A wool cutting stage may need refinement, depending on the system and paint.
Test that next stage immediately. Comparing only the initial cut overlooks the time needed to reach a clear final finish.
Follow the manufacturer’s cleaning method and frequency guidance. Keep replacement pads available to maintain the working condition achieved in the test.
Check for wear, contamination and attachment damage before returning a cleaned pad to service. A pad that sheds or behaves unexpectedly deserves investigation rather than a higher machine setting.
For studio purchasing, compare total process time and operator control across relevant paints. A supported wool DA system can be useful for a particular correction role, but it should earn that role through a complete demonstrated process. It is not a universal replacement for every foam or microfiber pad.
