Nano Coating a New Shower Enclosure

New shower glass may already carry a factory treatment or installation residue. Confirming its identity and condition is still necessary before applying an additional protective coating.

Check the supplier’s documents

Ask whether the glass has an easy-clean coating, decorative treatment or other special finish. Identify the treated face where relevant. Obtain the cleaning instructions and confirm whether additional coating is permitted. Do not assume that new glass is untreated simply because it looks clear.

Coordinate with installation work

Complete necessary adjustments and sealant work before final preparation, following the relevant cure requirements. Remove installation residue only with methods approved for the glass and adjacent materials. Avoid aggressive scraping or polishing of an unknown factory surface.

Establish a clean starting record

Inspect the dry enclosure under normal lighting and record any existing defects. Confirm the coating’s return-to-use instructions and plan the first shower accordingly. Keep product information and the accepted photographs with the glazing documents. This makes later cleaning questions easier to resolve and keeps the original glass specification available.
