Drying Coated Stainless Steel After Cleaning

Drying is useful when it forms part of the approved care method. It should remove remaining liquid without spreading cleaner residue or contamination across the finish.

Complete cleaning first

Follow the cleaner’s directions for residue removal or rinsing. Do not use a dry cloth merely to spread an unremoved product into a thin shiny film. Check compatibility with both the installed coating and any factory surface treatment.

Use a clean suitable cloth

Keep drying cloths separate from degreasing, polishing and other household tasks. Follow the finish manufacturer’s wiping direction where specified. Change to a clean section as needed and avoid forcing cloths into inaccessible joints or electrical openings.

Inspect after the surface settles

Look for streaks under the lighting normally used in the room. If marks recur in the same pattern, check the cloth and cleaning method before increasing pressure. Persistent spots may need a targeted assessment. Record changes in products or tools so a later support enquiry can distinguish the drying routine from the coating’s condition.
