Textured Shower Glass: Check the Coating Process

Textured glass has a different cleaning and application surface from a smooth clear panel. Its pattern and existing treatment should be identified before selecting preparation or coating methods.

Determine which face is textured

Check the glazing documents and inspect both sides. Record any factory coating or decorative treatment. The smooth face and patterned face may need different application decisions, so include them separately in the scope.

Evaluate a representative test

Confirm suitability with the supplier and test the complete process on a discreet area. Look for residue in recesses, altered appearance and difficulty achieving an even result. Assess after the specified curing period rather than only while the surface is freshly wet.

Plan accessible maintenance

Choose approved tools that clean the pattern without aggressive abrasion. Do not assume a squeegee suitable for smooth glass will perform the same way on texture. Keep the care method specific to the treated face and record persistent marks before trying stronger products. If compatibility remains uncertain, preserve the glazing manufacturer’s established care routine.
