Planning Shower Glass Coating Before a Tenant Moves In

A vacant-property handover is a useful time for glass treatment, provided cleaning, coating and move-in schedules fit together.

A vacant-property handover is a useful time for glass treatment, provided cleaning, coating and move-in schedules fit together.

Assess the starting condition

Confirm the pane’s condition, any renovation work still pending and the approved cure requirements. Coordinate with the owner or manager so decorators and cleaners do not unknowingly contact the fresh treatment.

A practical working method

  1. Complete dusty and residue-producing work before final preparation.
  2. Inspect and photograph the accepted glass condition.
  3. Schedule coating, protected curing and the first permitted clean as separate steps.
  4. Give the tenant and cleaning provider the same clear care instructions.

Common mistake

Applying a coating early while other trades continue can create avoidable contamination. Leaving instructions only with the installer also means the eventual user may never see them.

What a useful result looks like

The useful outcome is treated glass that reaches its specified release point before normal use. Handover should identify the product, treated faces and approved routine, with an accessible contact for questions rather than an unsupported promise of maintenance-free glass.
