Removable privacy panels can conceal residue and introduce attachments beside treated glass. Identify each exposed material before cleaning.

Assess the starting condition

Determine whether the panels are glass, plastic, film or another finish. Check how they attach and which areas remain accessible. Their care instructions may differ from those of the coated pane.

A practical working method

  1. Follow the panel manufacturer’s removal or cleaning procedure.
  2. Use separate compatible methods for panel and glass.
  3. Inspect attachment zones and sheltered glass after cleaning.
  4. Refit only under the specified attachment requirements.

Common mistake

Using a glass cleaner on every privacy-panel material can create an avoidable compatibility problem. Coating beneath an attachment should not be assumed acceptable.

What a useful result looks like

A useful record identifies the treated glass faces and the removable parts. Keep both sets of instructions together so future cleaners do not confuse a transparent panel, a privacy film and the underlying glass coating.
