From cutting and one-step correction to final finishing.
Low-iron glass describes the glazing choice, while a surface coating describes a treatment. Confirm the actual pane and any factory treatment before planning nano coating.
Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge
Use the enclosure or glazing documents to identify the product. Record whether a factory coating is already present and which face carries it. Do not infer the full specification from the apparent colour of the glass edge.
Discuss maintenance, surface condition and the intended application separately from the glass selection. A nano coating trial should not be presented as converting standard glass into low-iron glass or repairing an underlying glazing difference.
Follow the glass supplier’s care guidance and confirm compatibility for the proposed coating. Inspect preparation and the accepted dry appearance on a representative area. A clean-looking new pane can still have a treatment history relevant to the process.
Retain glazing identification, coating product and treated-face information in one record. Pilkington’s OptiShower documentation, for example, describes a specific factory-coated glass and a low-iron option; its care method applies to that named product, not automatically to every shower pane.
No. Confirm the supplied glazing specification and exposed surface treatment rather than using the glass description alone.
