High-purity water can change after exposure to air and handling. When investigating small conductivity differences, document how the sample was collected and how long it waited before measurement.

Hanna's high-purity measurement guidance describes the influence of carbon dioxide entering water from air. A workshop comparison should therefore use a consistent sampling approach appropriate to the instrument and question. A sample measured immediately at the outlet and one left in an open cup are not automatically equivalent records.
Illustrative example: an operator measures one rinse-water sample immediately and another after it sits on a bench. A small difference may reflect handling as well as the water system. The record should preserve that difference instead of presenting both readings as directly comparable outlet measurements.
Do not improvise a closed flow arrangement that conflicts with the instrument instructions. This guide does not establish a universal acceptance value for detailing rinse water. The relevant target depends on the process, equipment and the question the measurement is intended to resolve.
