A Room-by-Room Surface Survey Before Nano Coating

A simple survey can prevent unsuitable products being applied during a home coating project. Its purpose is to record what is actually being treated, including factory finishes that may be easy to overlook.

Create a short inventory

For each proposed area, note the room, material, finish and manufacturer if known. Add photographs and any care documents. Record glass treatments, anti-fingerprint appliance finishes, stone sealers and repair areas separately. A description such as “bathroom wall” is less useful than the identified surface system.

Describe normal exposure

Include water, cooking residues, frequent hand contact and the cleaners already used. Identify food-contact areas and walking surfaces because their suitability requires specific confirmation. Mention access restrictions and how long the area can remain unused after treatment.

Turn the survey into a scope

Ask the supplier to confirm the proposed product for each listed surface. Mark exclusions clearly and arrange a test where appearance is important or the finish is uncertain. Keep the accepted survey with the aftercare instructions. It becomes a useful reference when a cleaner, tenant or maintenance contractor changes later.
