Glazed Wall Tiles: Check the Finish Before Nano Coating

Glazed wall tiles can vary in gloss, texture and factory finish. A coating proposal should identify those differences and keep grout, sealant and neighbouring materials within their own care requirements.

Inspect the installed surface

Check tile specifications and note polished, textured or decorative areas. Look for existing cleaning residue and damaged glaze. Record whether the issue is on the tile face or in the joints; a treatment intended for one does not automatically solve the other.

Confirm the intended application

Ask whether the exact coating is suitable for the identified tile and exposure. Do not extend approval for vertical wall tiles to a walking surface. Where the finish is matte or textured, evaluate a test for unwanted sheen, darkening or residue in recesses.

Keep care instructions realistic

Continue cleaning the tile and joints with compatible methods. A protective surface layer is not a repair for cracked tiles, failed grout or damaged waterproofing.
