Ceramic Coating Warranty: Questions to Ask Before Installation

Clarify the product, coverage, maintenance obligations and claim process before accepting a ceramic coating warranty proposal.

Get the exact applicable terms

A warranty is a defined agreement, not a substitute for product selection or careful installation. Ask which coating and service package it covers, who provides it and whether registration is required. Keep the written terms together with the invoice and application record.

Do not assume a product-page headline, a general website FAQ and a local installer’s offer describe identical coverage. Where wording differs, obtain clarification before relying on a period or benefit.

Questions for the installer

  • Which surfaces and performance characteristics are covered?
  • Are time and mileage limits both used?
  • Which wash methods and maintenance visits are required?
  • What happens after paint repair, polishing or a change of ownership?
  • How is a problem inspected, and what remedy is offered?

Ask for exclusions and the claim process in clear language. A promise of many years does not explain whether physical scratches, stone chips or neglected contamination are included.

Keep an evidence trail

Record the product, date, treated panels and any later maintenance. Follow the instructions issued for your installation and raise performance concerns while they can be inspected. This guide helps organise the questions; the applicable written NANOLAB and installer terms determine the actual coverage. Use the current warranty page as a starting point and resolve any inconsistency directly.
