Ceramic-Coated Stainless Refrigerator Doors and Magnets

Manage magnet contact, trapped grit and appearance marks on treated stainless refrigerator exteriors.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Magnets and decorative accessories create contact points on a refrigerator door. Ceramic or nano coating does not make the finish immune to grit trapped behind them. Check the appliance manufacturer’s guidance before using accessories or adding a surface treatment.

Identify the actual door finish

Confirm whether the exterior is bare stainless, a coated stainless surface or another decorative material. Some factory finishes have specific care restrictions. The appliance’s appearance and whether a magnet attaches do not establish coating compatibility.

Inspect existing marks before preparation. Remove accessories through an appropriate process rather than sliding them across the panel. Photograph persistent outlines or scratches before treatment changes the surface appearance.

Keep contact areas clean

Clean the door and the accessory’s contact face with methods suitable for their materials. Avoid abrasive residue and check for damaged backing. Reposition or refit accessories only when the coating and appliance instructions permit it.

If a mark remains, distinguish transferred residue from a change in the finish. Do not polish a factory anti-fingerprint layer or apply an unrelated solvent on the assumption that it is ordinary bare metal.

Set the protection scope

Review NANOLAB Stainless Steel Nano Coating and confirm suitability for the exact appliance exterior. Keep displays, seals and functional components outside the cosmetic treatment unless explicitly supported.

At handover, explain the product’s care requirements and the continuing need to manage accessory contact. A coating can support maintenance on a suitable surface; it should not be described as a physical barrier against every scratch from repeatedly moved magnets.
