Define the operational problem, treated areas and maintenance responsibility for a supplier enquiry.
Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge
A property manager's coating brief should describe the operational problem and the surfaces involved. It should not start and end with a request for the strongest nano coating. The supplier needs enough context to propose a relevant assessment or product route.
List the enclosure types, known glass information and maintenance arrangements. Explain whether the concern is appearance, cleaning effort or consistency across rooms. Include access constraints and who will receive the final care instructions. Keep uncertain surface history marked for review.
If suitability or practical benefit is not yet established, request a representative pilot. Specify what observations would help the property decide whether to proceed. For example, housekeeping feedback should describe the actual cleaning task rather than provide only a general satisfaction score.
State who supplies glass information, arranges access, performs maintenance and reviews the result. Ask for current product instructions and a clear treated-area record. Avoid including unsupported savings, durability figures or universal cleaning intervals in the brief. A useful document turns the property manager's goal into a concrete discussion with the installer and manufacturer. It should make the next decision clear while leaving technical suitability to the appropriate product-specific assessment.
State the property type, number of candidate enclosures, known glass treatments, cleaning responsibility, access limits and the maintenance issue being addressed. Identify who can approve a trial and who will judge its usefulness.
For a portfolio with several cleaning contractors, include their methods in the assessment rather than assuming one routine across all sites. Ask for a defined pilot and handover plan before committing to a full rollout. Keep any claimed labour or appearance benefit tied to the evidence collected. The decision sheet should help the manager choose the next practical step while preserving uncertainty about surfaces or operating conditions that have not yet been surveyed.
