Borophene Concentrate Dilution: Do Not Invent a Mixing Ratio

A borophene additive concentrate should only be used according to a defined formulation or supplied instruction.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

A borophene additive concentrate should only be used according to a defined formulation or supplied instruction. A ready-to-use coating should not be diluted just because another product in the market is a concentrate.

Identify the product category

Check whether the supplied material is an ingredient, an intermediate or the finished coating. Ask who is responsible for further formulation and which instructions apply. The term ‘concentrated technology’ in advertising is not a mixing instruction, and a generic article cannot establish a safe or effective dilution ratio.

Protect the comparison

If a sample is changed before testing, record the change and obtain the manufacturer’s guidance. Do not compare an improvised dilution with an unmodified competitor and present the result as a fair product trial. The altered sample may no longer represent the agreed formula or its documented claims.

Use exact product instructions and a defined technical brief. Borophene’s presence does not supply a universal mixing recipe, and preserving the supplied formulation is essential when evaluating or communicating its performance.

Discuss a private-label coating project or ask NANOLAB about the exact formula for your application.
