A full polishing range.
From cutting and one-step correction to final finishing.
Identify the actual finish and exposure rather than treating every metal panel as bare stainless steel.

Decorative metal cladding can include brushed, polished, painted, plated or otherwise treated surfaces. A coating brief should describe the actual finish rather than relying on the broad word metal. That distinction affects both compatibility questions and appearance expectations.
Request supplier or fabricator documents, finish identification and relevant care guidance. Record existing treatments and any repair history. Include photographs of the installed context and adjacent materials. Keep unknown details visible instead of assuming the coating will contact bare metal.
Describe location, intended use, access and maintenance arrangements. Identify the desired appearance and the decision the trial should support. For example, exterior cladding and interior touch surfaces may need different project discussions even when their finish names appear similar.
Provide the exact candidate product information and ask for application-specific guidance. Use a representative mock-up where appropriate and record its relationship to the final installation. Keep technical suitability separate from the commercial quotation. The brief should allow the manufacturer and project team to identify what is confirmed, what requires testing or review and which surfaces remain excluded. A supported recommendation for a defined finish is more useful than a promise that one coating can protect every decorative metal feature in the building.
Provide drawings or zone references, exposed material and finish information, factory treatments, installation orientation and cleaning access. State whether the enquiry concerns appearance preservation, easier care or another defined objective. Keep structural and functional requirements separate from cosmetic treatment.
Ask the manufacturer to identify the information or trial needed before recommending a product. Do not generalize from one metal name to every cladding finish. If panels will be coated before installation, include handling and traceability in the plan. The package should support an application-specific decision, with unresolved questions visible before a coating requirement is added to the wider project specification.
