The glass supplier can provide information that a coating installer cannot reliably infer by looking at an enclosure. Ask about the actual glazing and surface treatment before adding another product. A precise enquiry is more useful than a general question about whether nano coatings are allowed.
Provide the supplier with the product or order reference where available. Ask which surfaces or finishes are present and whether a factory treatment was applied. Request the relevant current care information. Keep the supplier's answer attached to the enclosure record.
Describe the intended coating application and ask which compatibility or maintenance constraints need consideration. Do not ask the supplier to approve an unidentified product. Provide the exact candidate product information or connect the appropriate technical contacts where necessary.
For example, a supplier may confirm a treatment exists but be unable to identify its current condition on an older enclosure. That answer still leaves a question for assessment. Record what is confirmed and what remains unknown. A useful exchange produces information that can be reviewed with the coating manufacturer, rather than a vague assurance detached from the actual glass and product. Preserve the response so future maintenance decisions do not depend on someone remembering the original conversation.
Ask what glass product was supplied, whether either face has an existing treatment, how the treated face can be identified and which cleaning or further-treatment guidance applies. Include the enclosure or order reference to avoid a generic answer about the supplier's whole range.
Request written clarification where the information affects coating suitability. Do not assume that a term such as easy-clean names one chemistry or establishes compatibility with another product. Pass the answer to the coating manufacturer with the intended use and preparation proposal. A useful enquiry preserves the chain from supplied glass to proposed treatment, rather than relying on a salesperson's broad description or a visual guess.
