A Replacement Squeegee Blade: Recheck the Tool Before Coated-Glass Use

A new blade can change the condition of a familiar squeegee. Check the complete assembly rather than assuming a replacement restores the original working method.

Confirm the specified replacement

Use the tool supplier’s compatible part and fitting instructions. A blade that can be inserted into the holder is not thereby established as the correct component. Keep the tool identity and relevant guidance available.

Inspect the assembled edge

Check fitting, visible defects and hard parts near the glass-contact area. Follow the supplier’s inspection method. Avoid testing an uncertain assembly by pressing harder against a customer’s pane.

Use the approved drying routine

Evaluate the tool on an appropriate area within the glass and coating care guidance. Inspect the dry result and note persistent lines or residue. Compare it with the established routine without changing cleaner and tool simultaneously.

Review storage and future checks

Keep the working edge clean and protected according to its instructions. Inspect before later uses, particularly if the tool has been dropped or contacted debris. A replacement date alone does not guarantee its ongoing condition.
