From cutting and one-step correction to final finishing.
Choose between a ceramic wash-and-protect shampoo and separate cleaning and protection steps based on control, compatibility and the maintenance task.

A combined wash-and-protect product can simplify a supported maintenance routine, while separate products let the user decide when to add protection. Neither approach is automatically better. Choose according to the surface system, the cleaning task and the level of control needed.
If the vehicle simply needs routine cleaning, added protection may be optional. If the approved maintenance system calls for a protective wash effect, a combined product may fit. If the purpose is to diagnose the existing coating, a separate cleaning process may provide a clearer baseline.
Use the coating supplier’s guidance to decide which products and combinations are supported.
A combined product may reduce the number of bottles or steps, but it still has specific dilution, application and rinsing requirements. Separate products add a decision point but can allow protection to be applied only where needed and approved.
Do not count a step as saved if the combined product requires extra correction for residue in your actual working conditions. Evaluate the complete wash through the dry inspection.
A vehicle may include matte film, chrome, sensitive trim and glass. Check the compatibility of the entire proposed process with each contacted surface. A separate protection step can offer control over the treatment boundary, but only if it is applied carefully and according to instructions.
Avoid assuming that products from different systems are compatible simply because both use ceramic terminology.
Record product use, working time, rinsing effort and dry appearance. Observe the vehicle through subsequent normal washes before changing the routine again. Select the process that is reliable and maintainable for the user. The best choice is not the greatest number of protective ingredients or the fewest bottles; it is a supported sequence that cleans well and produces the intended finish without unnecessary complications.
